Bobcaygeon Farmers’ Market NOW OPEN!

Yipeeeeee!!!!  The market is now open and we had an amazing turnout for our first day last Saturday.  Over 600 people came out and were clearly very happy with the wide array of items for sale from our local vendors.

The fair-trade coffee was hot and the excitement was palpable.  The local talent was, well, entertaining!

As the season moves forward the selection of goods, especially fresh produce will increase dramatically, so keep coming back.

Our grand opening is Saturday July 3, 2010 from 8am to 1pm and we have lots of great things in store for you that day.

I hope to see you this Saturday.  Say hi to the BFM Steering Committee members in the red hats and try a cup of our coffee.  Thank you for your support!

Bobcaygeon Farmers’ Market opens June 12, 2010!

We are pleased to announce that the Bobcaygeon Farmers’ Market will officially open it’s “doors” on June 12, 2010.

We are located at the Bobcaygeon Fairgrounds in beautiful Bobcaygeon, Ontario.  The Market is open from 8am to 1pm every Saturday from June 12th to October 16th.

The Market features:

• Fresh local produce
• Tasty Prepared Foods (made from locally produced foods)
• Unique local crafts
• Fun for the whole family

Plus, the Bobcaygeon Farmers’ Market is a 100km market. This means that when you buy anything at the market, you are guaranteed that it was grown or produced within 100km of Bobcaygeon! And if it is a processed product (like lasagna), it’s major ingredient(s) must have been produced within 100km of Bobcaygeon (like the Beef). Huh!
